Meet The Team

Kieran

Operations Manager, Dad Matters

I’m Kieran, I’m over 40, and have 2 daughters who are 20 and 14. I am also the Dad Matters Operations Manager, and I oversee the project for Home-Start HOST. I love the job, and feel very proud of the work we do, the support we offer and networks we have created. The team are a dedicated, caring bunch of fellas, and I’m honoured to be able to work with each of them. Being a dad is sometimes hard, and often we can find it difficult to identify the right information, access support and it can really affect our own wellbeing. This can really affect our families, and that’s why I am so committed to this project. I also love camping, music, box sets and Bolton Wanderers…

Lee

Gloucestershire Coordinator, Dad Matters

I’m Lee, 46 years young and currently living in Worcester in the UK, originally from “the North” and proud Daddy to my two boys who are the absolute centre of my universe.

I’ve spent most of my professional career managing residential children’s services that support children/young people who have suffered trauma/abuse and are looked after. I have seen first had the importance of having those strong, safe attachments for children.

Being a parent myself, I also know that it is the most thrilling, rewarding role I could ever have but one that is not without it’s muddles. I was no different than you.

So I am thrilled to join Dad Matters to help raise awareness of Dad’s being able to support their partners, develop their own attachment/bonding with their children and raise awareness of mental health concerns.

Nick

Salford Coordinator, Dad Matters

My name is Nick and I began my role as Salford Coordinator in April 2020, however before that I was a volunteer. I am married with 3 wonderful children who keep both myself and my wife very busy. I enjoy lots of things from watching movies especially the Marvel films and love a bit of thrill seeking whether that is at a theme park or a skydive (even if I have only done it once). I also enjoy playing football, building Lego and supporting Manchester City. As a family we enjoy days out and spending time with family and friends.

Dan

Bolton Coordinator, Dad Matters

My names Dan I’m the Dad Matters Coordinator for Bolton. I’m married, have 3 children aged 2,4 and 9 and we live in Ramsbottom. After experiencing poor mental health after the birth of my 3rd child I really struggled to bounce back. After getting involved in some peer support groups which I found really helpful I started a football group with positive well-being at its core. It was around this time I heard about Dad Matters and there purpose really resonated with me. It’s great to be part of an organisation supporting Dads and I really look forward to having a positive impact in Bolton.

Mic

Tameside & Glossop/Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale Coordinator, Dad Matters

Hi, I’m Mic and I have been working for Dad Matters since Oct 2019. I am married and a Dad to a daughter, who was born in March 2018. I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks and playing golf in my spare time. My passion for being a good Dad and helping others to be the best they can be is what drives me every day.

Kelwyn

Warrington Coordinator, Dad Matters

HI, I’m 44, married with 2 kids, suffered with mental health issues all my life, so know what it’s like, helped my wife with her PND, whilst juggling young children.
My spare time (what’s that!?) is taken up with the family and rugby coaching. I’m really looking forward to joining and helping people who need help by supporting them and pointing them in the right direction
