Dad Matters Barnsley exists to support dads to have the best possible relationship with their families. We work closely with other professionals within Barnsley and nationally to better support dads in the first 1001 days of their parenting journey.
We offer Outreach services/drop-ins at maternity centres, and community venues, Provide 1:1 peer support to dads, Signpost and support dads to access services and information to help make sense of being a dad and supporting dads with anxiety, stress and mental health awareness

Outreach sessions, our coordinator attends hospital where we talk to dads to be and guide them to any help or advice we can offer. So if you see us there please come and have a chat.

New Dads Workshops Online
Join Dad Matters for a FREE online workshop for dads-to-be and new dads with babies under 12 weeks old.
During this online video session, we will talk about our three key topics; Attachment and Bonding, Mum’s and Dad’s Mental Health and Wellbeing and Access to Appropriate Services.

If your a dad who’s had experience with Dad Matters in the past and would like to help other dads, who are in a current situation you have been, then we would love to hear from you, your help and input can be invaluable.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Even if you haven’t had experience with us in the past, then don’t let this put you off, as with any volunteers , we offer training and help is at hand every day.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
